Welcome to jokeman.hu!
My name is Miklós Kasza, I live in Hungary and this site contains some information about/from me. I'm a senior software designer mathematician student (I will graduate in june) at the University of Szeged, Hungary.
I work as a software developer at the Department of Software Engineering. Besides I teach programming for junior students and work as a web site developer for small local businesses.
Skills and experience
-
My primary development platform is Java with all its pros and cons. My personal favorite application of the Java platform is the server side applications. The Netspotter framework is the flagship in my recent activities done at Java. It's a distributed network testing framework written in Java primarily created for IPv6 multicast testing. Currently it's nearly unusable for anyone but the developers, there are serious plans to make it more user friendly.
- As a hobby I'm intrested in so-called alternative operating systems such as Debian GNU/Linux. I'm not capable of doing magic under Debian (or elsewhere :) ) but I use it as the primary OS on my notebook.
- I've been creating web pages for many years. I think that web is a very awful platform but it's all around. So I've learned some web page tricks during the years, but I hardly ever use them :)
Note: The content on this site is mostly written in Hungarian but one can find some stuff internationalised (i.e. translated to or originally written in English).
